Watches and Wonders 2026: Our Bold Predictions for Rolex and Patek Philippe

The countdown is on. With Watches and Wonders 2026 officially kicking off on April 18th, the watch world’s most guarded secrets are about to be revealed. At Zolo, we’ve been analyzing the 70-year anniversary cycles and market shifts to predict what Rolex and Patek Philippe have in store.

Here are the six releases we believe will define 2026 and the straps that will complete the look.

1. The GMT-Master II "Coke" (Steel or White Gold)

Prediction Confidence: 90%

With the "Pepsi" production rumors still swirling, 2026 is the year Rolex finally answers the call for the Red and Black "Coke" bezel. Whether it’s a boutique-only White Gold release or a stainless steel hero, it is the most anticipated revival of the decade.

  • The Strap Play: This bezel is the ultimate excuse to go bold. Match the upper half of that bezel with our FKM Black Rubber Strap.

2. The Milgauss 70th Anniversary Edition

Prediction Confidence: 85%
2026 marks exactly 70 years since the Milgauss was born in 1956. We expect a slimmer 40mm case, a return of the green sapphire crystal (GV), and a refined "Z-Blue" dial. It’s the ultimate "Science and Style" watch for the modern era.

  • The Strap Play: Highlight that iconic green sapphire edge with the Zolo Green FKM Rubber Strap. It’s a tactical, modern look that the factory steel bracelet just can't touch.

3. The Explorer II in RLX Titanium

Prediction Confidence: 60%

The "Polar" dial is a legend, but in RLX Titanium, it becomes an unstoppable tool. A matte, darker grey finish on the case and fixed bezel would make this the most rugged Explorer in history.

4. The Daytona on a Jubilee Bracelet

Prediction Confidence: 55%

Rolex has been leaning into the "dressy-sports" aesthetic. After the GMT and Sky-Dweller, the stainless steel Daytona is the next logical candidate for a Jubilee bracelet option.

  • The Strap Play: When the Jubilee feels too formal, swap it out for a White Zolo Strap to make that Panda dial pop, or stick to the classic Black Zolo Strap for a racing-inspired feel.

5. Patek Philippe Nautilus 5811/1A (50th Anniversary)

Prediction Confidence: 75%

2026 is the 50th Anniversary of the Nautilus (1976-2026). Patek Philippe rarely misses a half-century milestone. Expect a "Jubilee" edition in steel or a new high-complication Perpetual Calendar in the 5811 case.

  • The Strap Play: A Nautilus on rubber is the definitive "Euro Summer" vibe. Check out our Patek Philippe Strap Collection to give your 50th-anniversary piece a sporty edge.

6. The Patek Philippe Aquanaut "Luce" for Men

Prediction Confidence: 50%

Smaller, more colorful watches are the dominant trend of 2026. We predict Patek will release the "Luce" in a 40-42mm men's size without diamonds, featuring bold new dial colors like "Midnight Purple" or "Earth Clay."
